Bangkok--May 22--D&M MUSIC STUDIO D&M Music Studio in cooperation with Dusit Thani Hotel proudly present “A Classical Piano Recital” performed by the internationally known British pianist, Mr. Colin Stone who will make his debut performance in Bangkok. The concert will be partly joined by Thanatip Viturawong, a private student of Colin Stone. In 1986 Mr. Stone won the Royal Overseas League Piano Competition in London. He performed on BBC Radio. His performance of Liszts “Dante Sonata” at the Queen Elizabeth Hall and the Busoni Competition in Italy received great critical acclaimed Wigmore Hall Debut. He has performed several piano concerto with noted orchestra in Europe namely – Mozart’s K271 with London Soloists Chamber Orchestra, Beethoven’s Emperor and two Brahms Concerti, Schumann and Tchaikovski B flat minor including Rachmaninov’s 2nd, Shostakovich Concerti and Cesar Franck. Mr. Stone has performed with famous cellist Leonard Gorokhov at major venues in St. Petersburg and Switzerland. He currently combines his performing activities and a professor teaching at Royal Academy of Music. The evening program includes works by: Toccata and Fugue in D minor BWV565 by Bach, Preludes from Book I, No. 8, 9, 10 & 7 by Debussy, 10 Pieces from Romeo and Juliet by Prokofiev, Sonata in F minor Op. 57 by Beethoven, Trois nouvelles etudes Op. Posth. by Chopin and Le Festin ??sope Op. 39 No. 12 by Alkan.
