As part of its continuous support of the arts in Thailand Raimon Land is proud to support the Royal Over-Seas League’s Young Artist of Thailand Competition. The Royal Over-Seas League (ROSL) and Raimon Land PLC, together with CentralWorld, ZEN Department Store, TK Park, the Post Publishing Public Company Limited and Dusit Thani Hotel organized a special Gala Reception for the finals of the ROSL Young Artist of Thailand Competition at the ZEN Event Gallery Level 8 ZEN Department Store. The Young Artist of Thailand competition had attracted over 379 entries from aspiring young students across the Kingdom. Artworks of 60 semi-finalists were exhibited for the public at Eden Zone, CentralWorld, from January 12 – 19, 2009. After thorough consideration by a judging panel consisting of international and Thai knowledgeable artists and academics, Ms. Patcharaporn Arunsirichok, a third-year student from Silpakorn University was voted the winner of the “Young Artist of Thailand 2008” competition for her oil painting “The Residence”. She was entitled to the trophy, two tickets to London and cash prize of 100,000 baht. “This is a dream come true and a unique chance for me as a young artist. Thank you to the Royal Over-Seas League and to Raimon Land for giving all young artists in Thailand such an opportunity to showcase our work” commented Ms. Patcharaporn upon receiving her trophy. The competition is organised by the Royal Over-Seas League in Thailand in association with Raimon Land, CentralWorld, Zen, TK Park, the Post Publishing Public Company Limited and Dusit Thani Hotel. “As part of our strong social commitment, Raimon Land is proud to support the Young Artist of Thailand competition for the second consecutive year.
