Targets Nationwide Delivery The Next Working Day
Herbalife International (Thailand), a worldwide leader in advanced nutrition, has announced the launch of two new supply chain management (SCM) initiatives aimed at increasing the efficiency of its ordering, order confirmation and delivery processes. The company said the new initiatives will see the majority of distributors receiving deliveries by the next working day and guarantee delivery within 72 hours. A new SMS service will also be automatically sent to distributors to confirm the processing of all orders.
Khun Wallapa Narunatvanich, General Manager of Herbalife (Thailand) said, "These new services will allow our distributors to better serve clients with more effective and efficient processes. In the direct selling business, the most important thing is response time to distributors, so we're constantly looking at ways to streamline the Supply Chain and Customer Relationship Management processes. Distributors will now have automatic confirmation that their clients' orders have been fulfilled, and most orders will be in our client's hands as soon as the following day."
Distributors can currently order Herbalife products via five channels: walk-in; phone-in at 0-2655-7525; fax-in at 0-2655-7778; email at
[email protected] and mail-in orders. Once an order is received through any of these five channels, Herbalife will fulfil and deliver most orders anywhere in Thailand the next working day - and guarantee delivery within 72 hours.
"Increasing the efficiency of our product delivery will allow us continue building an affinity with our customers. This essentially eliminates a prohibitive time-gap between order and receipt. If a customer runs out of our product, they can place an order with our distributors and in most instances, have a refilled stock by the following day, thus not having to skip a day of use."
Additionally, fulfilment of all Herbalife orders will now be confirmed with the ordering distributor through an automatic SMS messaging service. Once an order has been fulfilled, an automatic SMS message containing all pertinent order details will be activated and sent to the distributor, including order reference number, total volume points and date and time sent. Thus, all distributors will have a 'real-time' solution ensuring proper order completion.
"Prior to the SMS service, it was necessary for distributors to call into the distribution center to confirm each specific order. This new service eliminates that step, and gives the distributor a direct and automatic confirmation," said Khun Wallapa.
