Bangkok--Jun 21--DTAC DTAC reports positive postpaid net additions for 12 consecutive months Kicks off new campaign to celebrate success and thank customers DTAC’s Postpaid Business Unit Director Sunti Medhavikul reveals that DTAC is the only mobile phone operator in Thailand which has successfully posted positive net additions on its postpaid system for 12 consecutive months. The success is a result of the company’s determination to deliver tailor-made, innovative mobile services to its customers. The company also reports that its postpaid churn rate has drastically reduced to only 0-3%, thanks to successful marketing activities. DTAC’s key postpaid innovations: - April 2003: introduces ‘my’ package to offer postpaid subscribers the right to set their own payment date and the amount they want to pay. Under the package, users pay only for the value of their calls, with airtime prices falling as usage increases - August 2003: introduces special packages for SMEs segment - August 2003: teams up with five leading computer and telecommunication service providers – IBM, Nokia, Hewlette-Packard, Acer and Computer Unition – to launch DTAC Mobile Business on Demand, an advanced mobile solutions for corporate and business users - November 2003: develops a tailor-made call center service for Mistine’s sales agents to access updated information and place new orders by dialing *22555 from DTAC mobile phones - November 2003: introduces ‘Family special’ or ‘My Special’ package as another alternative for DTAC’s customers - March 2004: introduce ‘maximize’ package to tap heavy-usage segment. Subscribers will receive up to 20% discount per call and a ‘maximize card’ to enjoy up to 60% discount at more than 750 leading shops. Secretarial services are also available 24 hours at *1899 The innovations have enabled DTAC to stay at the forefront of the industry with over 1.2 million postpaid subscribers on its network. To celebrate the success and to further foster ties with its customers, the company has introduced a new campaign which gives all new postpaid customers a chance to win lots of attractive prizes. Under the campaign, customers who subscribe to any postpaid services or make a bill payment at DTAC shop or DTAC Service Hall during 18 June – 31 May 2004 will receive a lucky coupon with a chance to win prizes worth 5,256,000 baht in total. Among the prizes are a 1.2 million-baht saving account, 12-month-free calls, Kawasaki motorcycles and Nokia 3120. The lucky draw will be held on 17 August 2004 at DTAC shop’s Future Rangsit branch. The winners will be announced on 27 August 2004 on Matichon newspaper and DTAC’s website (www.dtac.co.th). Additionally, postpaid customers, who have paid their bills on times for three billing cycles, will receive free DTAC’s SIM and able to sign up for ‘my Family Extra’ promotional package at only 250 baht/month for 100 minutes of calls and enjoy free 25 domestic SMS during the first six months of usage.
