The vision focuses on developing technology that connects all aspects of daily life to make it more convenient and seamless, while enhancing the capabilities of both technology and people to support Thai businesses and society toward a sustainable future. Krungsri's annual technology and innovation event is held in collaboration with leading tech partners, now in its fourth consecutive year.

Krungsri Drives Future with Technology Connecting People, Life, and Business for Sustainable Growth, Showcasing in Krungsri Tech Day 2025

Mr. Kenichi Yamato, Krungsri President and Chief Executive Officer, delivered the opening remarks, stating: "Krungsri Tech Day 2025 highlights our commitment to driving meaningful transformation through innovations that simplify, accelerate, and secure everyday financial experiences. By leveraging advanced digital capabilities, Krungsri aims to deliver customized services, streamline operations, and build lasting trust—supporting its aspiration to become the Leading Sustainable and Regional Bank. The event inspires everyone to reimagine technology— not merely as a tool, but as a transformative force that truly empowers people and communities."

Ms. Saisunee Hanprathueangsil, Krungsri Chief Information and Digital Officer said, "Krungsri's technology and innovation strategy emphasizes advancing technology alongside empowering people, with the goal of creating comprehensive value for the organization, society, and businesses. To achieve this, we have restructured our technology framework to be more agile, streamlined work processes to enhance employee efficiency, and strengthened our readiness to adapt to the evolving business landscape. We are also enhancing the Bank's role as a trusted partner by collaborating with leading technology companies to co-create innovations that truly meet customer needs. In parallel, we have established the Krungsri AI Center of Excellence to drive AI development and adoption, supported by a robust AI governance framework that ensures the ethical and effective use of technology—maximizing its benefits and promoting sustainable growth for Thailand's economy and society."

Krungsri has defined vision for technology and innovation development through three key pillars:

  • Technology Simplicity: Krungsri has transformed its technology infrastructure in three stages: Leaner - Streamlining systems through a hybrid cloud, simplifying and enhancing application management and efficiency, including the Jupiter program — a continuous project aimed at transforming the Core Banking system to support long-term growth. Simpler - Automating operations to eliminate unnecessary steps, speed up service delivery, and reduce operational costs. Ahead of Business - Integrating AI into workflows to enhance customer experiences, improve decision-making, and create long-term business advantages.

These initiatives have eased mainframe workloads, improved flexibility between front-end and back-end systems, reduced development and maintenance costs. It also enhances the IT architecture by adopting a microservices model, establishing hubs that streamline internal operations and enable the development of customer-serving solutions. This systematic transformation is already yielding results—most notably, Krungsri's digitized sugarcane purchasing process via the Payment Hub, which reduces transaction time from two days (using paper checks) to just 3-5 minutes, delivering immediate cost savings and greater convenience for sugar factories and farmers.

  • Enabling for Growth: In an era defined by uncertainty — from a slowing economy and rapidly evolving technologies like AI, to shifting consumer behaviors that no longer adhere to traditional brand loyalty — businesses must discover their own unique formula for success and focus on what truly differentiates them. Meanwhile, essential but non-core functions such as financial management should be entrusted to reliable experts, allowing entrepreneurs to dedicate their time to innovation and creating new customer experiences.

Under the concept of "Enabling for Growth," Krungsri is committed to supporting the growth of Thai businesses through comprehensive digital financial solutions. These span from foundational financial infrastructure to services that integrate directly with enterprise platforms — all designed to be seamlessly connected, secure, and ready to use. Today, Krungsri has earned over 20 awards, partnered with more than 1,200 organizations, and facilitates over 90 million transactions annually, reflecting its trusted role as a financial partner for businesses. This commitment is anchored in the promise of 'Make Life Simple,' empowering organizations to focus on what matters most: creating value, differentiation, and a sustainable future.

  • Sustainable AI: Krungsri has established an AI Center of Excellence (AI COE) with a practical AI Governance framework. It covers how we select and prioritize use cases aligned with our corporate strategy, design and build models, test for risk and bias, run MLOps, and measure outcomes. Our goal is to use Traditional AI/ML, Generative AI, and Agentic AI in a systematic, transparent way that delivers real value to our business and customers.

Inside the organization, we deploy GenAI alongside advanced analytics—for example, AI-driven property valuation-on a governed data foundation. This improves speed, accuracy, and auditability. For customers, we are shaping a safer and smoother underwriting and loan approval experience, strengthening protection with a Fraud Score model. We also apply Customer Lifetime Value and Churn Prevention models to enable proactive service and more relevant offers.

Building on this foundation, Krungsri has expanded cooperation with the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB). Secure APIs act as the data bridge for operations, a near real-time dashboard creates a single shared view, and machine-learning models support proactive screening of suspicious behaviors-reducing coordination time and improving case handling efficiency with CIB. Together, these efforts reflect Sustainable AI in action-practical, measurable, and governed-supporting ethical use of data and the long-term, sustainable growth of Thai society.

Krungsri Tech Day 2025 marks its fourth consecutive year under the theme "Empower People to Make Life Simple." The event brings together Krungsri and leading technology partners—such as Accenture, AWS | OnebyZero, Cisco | OSD, HPE, IBM, Kyndryl, Dynatrace, EmbedIT, G-Able, MFEC, and YIP IN TSOI | Archer, Atlassian | iZeno, Microsoft, NTT | World Line, Nutanix, Redhat, and VMWare by Broadcom —to present the latest trends and innovative solutions designed to simplify everyday life and business operations. Through workshops, seminars, and knowledge-sharing sessions with industry experts, the event helps participants enhance their digital skills and apply technology in practical ways to drive progress in both their businesses and daily lives.

"We extend our sincerest gratitude to all our partners for being the driving force behind Krungsri's innovation, helping us turn ideas into capabilities that foster a smarter working environment and support sustainable and resilient growth for businesses, society, and people. This underscores Krungsri's role as more than a financial services provider but also as a trusted partner empower a stronger and more sustainable Thai society," Ms. Saisunee concluded.
