Krungsri (Bank of Ayudhya PCL and its business units) announced the appointment of Mr. Kohei Omori as Head of Japanese Corporate Banking, succeeding Mr. Bunsei Okubo, who was assigned to take on a new and significant role at MUFG. The appointment is effective April 1, 2026.
Mr. Kohei Omori has more than 26 years of experience in banking and financial services, with particular expertise in corporate finance, structured finance, and strategic planning in Japanese corporate banking. He also had extensive experience working in the United States. Prior to joining Krungsri, Mr. Omori served as Managing Director, Head of Japanese Corporate Banking Division for the Americas (U.S. Midwest), concurrently holding the positions of Head of Chicago Branch and Head of Kentucky Representative Office. In these roles, he oversaw Japanese corporate clients across the Midwest region, while also supervising the MUFG branch in Chicago and the representative office in Kentucky.
Mr. Omori graduated with a Bachelor of Political Science and Economics from Waseda University, Japan.
