Central Food Hall, Marketplace by TOPS, and selected TOPS Supermarket are the outlets supporting the "Tastes of Great Britain" food and drink fair.
"This year, Central Food Retail is focused on quality development and diversity of products. We have selected new and established products from suppliers that we feel reflect the best of Breitish quality and we are offering them at attractive prices so people will be encouraged to sample a broad range of what is available," states Mr Ian Pye, president of Central Food Retail.
Mr Ian Pye further states: "Britain is a melting pot for world culture and because of this, it is possibly the most innovative country in the world for new food concepts. British consumers are very quick to adopt new trends, which spur demand for more and more invoative products.I am sure that Thai consumers will be equally receptive to these products that we have imported for the fair."
As well as promoting innovative British food and drink items the fair also features products sold under the Waitrose brand name. This brand offers an exceptionally broad variety of quality produce ranging from fresh and processed foodstuffs, fruit, vegetables, spices, cheesd, youghurt, snacks, wines, and spirit. Waitrose is sold exclusively through its own supermarket outlets in the United Kingdom and has an outstanding reputation for quality and value for money. Central Food Retail has the exclusive rights to Waitrose products in Thailand.
As well as attractive displays of produce in the participating key outlets, there will be live cooking demonstrations of British cuisine by local chefs with free sampling of the created dishes for customers to enjoy.
"The Tastes of Great Britain" fair will emphasise the regional foods of Britain, many of which have been assimilated into the nation's diet but which in fact were once very localised and traditional," states Mr Ian Pye.
For example, consumers will have the chance to sample award-winning sausages made by Langford's. Cumberland sausages, made from quality cuts of meat suffuse with herbs was once a very regional dish but has now become popular amongst British consumers everywhere. This is the first time that this brand has been imported into Thailand.
You will also get the chance to try Baxter's Apple Sauce. This is a classic recipe using crisp Granny Smith apples to create a scrumptious appls sauce. Pork dishes are just not the same without it.
Another newconmer is Heartsease. This is water from the leafy thert of the Welsh hills and available for the first time in Thailand. The stylish bottles can grace the best-dressed dinning tables and the fresh spring water is full of minerals to benefit health and fitness.
For a real treat go for Patchwork pate, a gold-medal winner with a truly distinctive taste. Patchwork's pate is still hand-made in small batches, without artificial colouring, additives or preservatives and is a top selling product in Great Britain.
All of these great products will be available at the fair, along with other favourites such as cottage pie, fish and chips, bangers and mash, Welsh laverbread, pork pies, Yorkshire pudding, black pudding, and bubble and squeak.
