In this prestigious ceremony, 2 insurance agents of the company are to be bestowed with the award for 15 years consecutively while other 9 insurance agents are awarded with the TNQA for 10 years in a row. Ocean Life Insurance’s total 369 insurance agents will also receive such award, making the company the fourth on the top list of insurance company holding most award-winning Insurance agents. Recently, the company is preparing to arm its insurance agents with an intensive training course and exciting sales promotions. Ocean Life Insurance is confident that the channel of insurance agents serves as an important force for the company to achieve its targeted growth for the first-year premiums. Mrs. Nusara (Assakul) Banyatpiyaphod, president of Ocean Life Insurance Company Limited, “Life Partner … and Beyond”, reveals: “This year is another year of beautiful success for Ocean Life Insurance’s channel of insurance agents. In the Thailand National Quality Awards (TNQA) ceremony, 2 of our insurance agents are among the 3 insurance sales-reps from all over the country to be bestowed with the award for the 15th year while other 9 of our insurance agents are among 25 to be awarded with such prize for 10 consecutive years. Apart from this, 5 of our insurance agents will also be awarded with honorary plaque and certificate of excellent work according to the first five criterions in the principle of practice, along with 364 other Ocean Life Insurance’s insurance agents who will receive this award. All in all, we have in total 380 insurance agents from our company to attend this prestigious award-coffering ceremony”. All award-winning insurance agents have created outstanding achievements for Ocean Life Insurance. At present, the competition among insurance counterparts is very high as a result of the existence of other distribution channels such as bank insurance and modern trade. These insurance agents will attend the ceremony of the 28th Thailand National Quality Awards held by the Thai Life Assurance Association. Following the concept: “The One in Suvarnabhumi”, the award-conferring ceremony will take place on Friday, June 24th, 2011 at Royal Jubilee Ballroom of the Challenger, Impact Arena Muangthong Thani. “The success this time is the outcome of the company’s determination in pushing forward the channel of insurance agents to sustain its growth. We have a goal to be on the top three list of this channel and prepare to roll out our current strategy to continue enhancing the potentiality of our insurance agents – through more and more intensive trainings, especially those in the past 2 years. The intensive course features in-depth information about products and the understanding of insurance sales. We are setting off to arm our insurance agents with an array of tools and promotional campaigns that focus on the care by our insurance agents towards our clients right from the start: from offering the right product to each client to acting as a financial consultant to retain utmost benefits for the clients throughout the period of coverage. The intensive training will take place mainly at the Ocean Life Insurance’s training center in Khao Yai, Nakorn Ratchasima province. This year, the company has allocated a target to become the ‘Big Year’ of every aspect. We have adjusted the policy to perform concentrated field operations, especially for the recruitment of new insurance agents under the ‘caravan to recruit new-wave insurance agents’ project in order to achieve the recruitment of 4,500 fresh-faced insurance agents – an addition to the company’s existing 13,000 active sales members. Over the past 5 months, we have received good feedbacks from 3,000 interested applicants who had joined the project. Furthermore, we also host our own award-conferring ceremony – the Ocean Quality Awards (OQA) to exceptional insurance agents in different locations as a way to build closer relationship between insurance agents and the company. The announcement of awards will also serve as an emphasis of confidence towards the company. Additional information: Thailand National Quality Awards – TNQA is the award bestowed to insurance agents who possess outstanding work of sales and client services. The award is given as an honour for winners who are seen as good examples for other insurance agents. The criteria of judging the suited winners include: 1. Possession of no less than 30 new sales of individual life insurance - ordinary life policy or industrial policy annually with 2 consecutive years of accumulated premiums no less than Bt.3.6 million annually. This excludes group life policy, group annuity and one-time insurance policy. 2. The sales of insurance policies in accordance with No.1 above need to excess 14 months after the effective date or more. The insurance policies in its first-year coverage need to possess more than 90% of persistency rate, both for amount of individuals and premiums.
