Reach for the Stars: DARA Cuisine Phuket's Cosmic Culinary Journey Continues with Chef "Oat" Nattaphon Othanawathakij at Anantara Layan Phuket Resort

Michelin-selected 2025 and Tatler Dining's Rising Star Chef, Chef Oat, teams up with Chef Hong to craft a six-course menu blending Melbourne's vibrant culinary influences with the bold, locally sourced flavors of southern Thai cuisine. Together, they deliver a dining experience that bridges two distinct culinary worlds.

The resort proudly unveiled DARA Cuisine Phuket and Sky Observatory in April 2024, a unique venue combining modern Thai dining with celestial exploration. Set within Anantara Layan Phuket Resort, DARA (meaning "star" in Thai) offers a grill-focused menu with seasonal ingredients, guided stargazing, celestial-inspired beverage, and interactive Thai cooking classes. Guests can enjoy daily cooking classes (12:00-3:00 pm), dinner service (6:00-10:00 pm), and stargazing with drinks (6:00 pm-midnight), honoring Thailand's rich culinary heritage and seafaring traditions.
