Krungsri Ramps up Transaction Banking, Aiming to be the Preferred Partner for Sustainable Payment Solutions in ASEAN

In response to the growing volume of digital transactions both domestically and internationally, Krungsri has strengthened its infrastructure and advanced its digital payment solutions, while also broadening its capabilities by integrating cross-border payment services through strategic collaboration with partner banks. Krungsri's transaction banking business continues to deliver consistent revenue growth by expanding its customer base, developing end-to-end financial solutions, and adopting technologies such as API connectivity, enabling seamless, fast, and real-time transactions.

Miss Ninlawan Jeeraboon, Krungsri Head of Transaction Banking Group, said, "In 2025, Krungsri aims to drive sustainable expansion in transaction banking by enhancing our existing digital payment infrastructure and developing solutions that respond to the evolving needs of both business and retail customers. We are committed to staying ahead of technological advancements and innovations to deliver greater value and efficiency. As part of our strategic direction, we aspire to become the preferred partner for sustainable payment solutions in ASEAN by expanding beyond our existing customer base through collaborative growth with partners. This includes offering embedded finance solutions that seamlessly integrate Krungsri's financial services, such as payments, lending, and account management, into partner platforms via API technology."

In 2025, Krungsri's Transaction Banking Group will focus on expanding its customer base through three key pillars.

  • Digital Sustainable Solutions: Krungsri continues to strengthen its digital financial infrastructure by integrating partner platforms to offer seamless and scalable services. The Krungsri Beyond Procure service streamlines billing, payment, and electronic receipt exchanges between buyers and sellers, enhancing efficiency across the business sector. For SME customers, Krungsri Bill Payment Online enables the issuance of invoices with QR codes, allowing them to receive payments easily, reducing the complexity of managing invoices and account reconciliation. Meanwhile, Krungsri Mung-Mee SHOP offers merchants the ability to accept QR code payments and instantly verify received funds, eliminating concerns over counterfeit payment slips, supporting safer, more efficient digital commerce.
  • Regional Expansion: Krungsri expands its regional payment network through close collaboration with its strategic partner, MUFG. The QR Cross-border Payment service now spans eight countries, including Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Lao PDR, Japan, and Hong Kong, supporting seamless digital transactions across borders. Additionally, the Realtime Cross-border Transfer service enables real-time transfers in up to five currencies to 13 countries, with plans to expand currency options within this year.
  • Customers' Digital Experience: Krungsri enhances customer-centric solutions, making transactions more seamless and secure. The Krungsri CashLink platform has been upgraded with new capabilities including cross-border payments, international trade services, loan services, digital onboarding, and self-service functionalities. These innovations reinforce Krungsri's commitment to delivering a simplified, inclusive, and responsive digital experience that meets the evolving needs of customers

"Despite ongoing uncertainties, from shifting US trade policies to signs of a global and domestic economic slowdown, Krungsri remains confident in the opportunities ahead. We are committed to continuously advancing payment solutions by leveraging technology and innovation to enhance service efficiency, empower customers' transaction needs and expand business opportunities. Our goal is to support customers in achieving sustainable growth, today and into the future," Miss Ninlawan concluded.
