DTAC joins forces with IBM, NOKIA, HP, ACER and Computer Union introducing a new mobile corporate solution to increase work efficiency and profitability for corporate customers
- Over 500 corporations interested in the new service
DTAC today announced the launch of Mobile Business on Demand, a new mobile solution for corporations.
The Mobile Business on Demand is a perfect integration of DTAC's advanced GPRS network, IBM's WebSphere Everyplace Access (WEA) and the expertise of service implementation by Computer Union.
Deployed on DTAC's nationwide GPRS network, WEA, a core platform for today's mobile workforce, enables enterprises to access email, calendar, web-based applications and other key database and business applications, both online and offline. In addition, the service implementation is supported by Computer Union who has years of experience on system integration for large enterprises in Thailand.
Through cooperation with IBM, Nokia, HP, Acer and Computer Union, the service also allows corporate users, for the very first time in Thailand and Southeast Asia, to download key business applications such as document workflow and sales force management through a connection of mobile phones and PDA (personal digital assistant) or notebook computers.
Clients can also benefit from an electronic system which allows them to make business approval online.
DTAC had in February teamed up with ten leading application providers including Microsoft, Hewlett Packard, Onelink, MMT, Dial Tech, Connexion Expert, The Opal Intelligence, ISSP, ENT and MSL, developing new mobile applications for over 2,000 corporations. In August, DTAC was able to increase the number of its corporate customers to 3472, or a 74% increase in six months.
On the day of its launch, the Mobile Business on Demand has also received a positive response from large corporations with over 500 companies attended the event. DTAC targets to have over 4,000 corporate customers by the end of this year.
