NISSAN TO ACHIEVE FISCAL YEAR 2011 SALES TARGET AT MOTOR SHOW

- NISSAN SHOWCASES ENVIRONMENTAL-FRIENDLY CARS AND ANNOUNCES DOUBLE-DIGIT GROWTH IN MARKET SHARE FOR FISCAL YEAR 2012 - Nissan Motor (Thailand) Co., Ltd asserted its market leadership in Thailand’s environment-friendly vehicle segment at the 33rd Bangkok International Motor Show which will feature the Nissan TOWNPOD, Nissan March NISMO, and the new Purple Plum-colored Nissan March 2012 model alongside the Nissan Almera and many other Nissan models. Also spectacular “green” car extravaganza will be held in conjunction with the official announcement of Nissan achieving its sales target for the fiscal year 2011 despite the natural disasters. “Fiscal year 2011 was a challenging year for the Thai automotive industry. Industry and manufacturers suffered downtrends caused by local and foreign natural disasters. Throughout this entire period, Nissan devoted its efforts towards working with component suppliers in order to speed up production recovery time. In addition, Nissan introduced a series of new products such as the Nissan Almera, Teana, Navara and X-Trail to stimulate the market”, said Mr. Toru Hosegawa, President of Nissan Motor (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and added, “The Bangkok International Motor Show is a great opportunity for Nissan to create a phenomenon once again as Nissan wrapped up its fiscal year 2011 with 9% market share, meeting its sales target as planned. As for fiscal year 2012 Nissan expects to achieve a double-digit market share figure with 10% or the sales of about 100,000 units”. In order to match the BIMS show concept “Technology Difference”, an environmental-friendly product lineup of dazzling Nissan cars will be showcased at the Nissan Booth. The highlight will be the zero-emission EV namely Nissan TOWNPOD. The TOWNPOD was designed to meet every discerning need of the customer’s young and modern lifestyle. The concept car caters to both personal use and commercial requirements. And there is the Nissan March NISMO with luxury sports package including red-trimmed side skirts and brand new Alloy wheels, a first for Thailand after debuting at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2012 in January. The Nissan Booth will also feature the much-acclaimed Nissan March, the first eco-car to debut in the Thai market and the most successful product in its segment with accumulative sales of over 55,000 units. The Nissan Almera, the first sedan eco-car, again, is a new and joyous phenomenon through its luxury exterior design which complements a roomy interior incorporating modern technology and the best in comfort amenities. The Nissan Almera has already posted more than 30,000 vehicle bookings since its debut. Also joining in on the action will be 3 new Nissan models that recently had their introductions end of last year: the new Nissan Teana in the concept “Perfection for all time”, the Nissan Navara Pickup its new two lineups - Grand Titanium and Sports Version, also the well-recognized SUV Nissan X-Trail.
