Customers can also take advantage of Nissan's new financial program, 'Nissan Easy Pay' by Nissan Leasing (Thailand) Ltd., which provides flexible payment terms for potential customers who are interested in owning a Nissan car with monthly payments starting at just THB 3,330 per month and three payment options to choose from. "I am proud to announce two pieces of great news today. One being the unveiling of the new Nissan LEAF for the first time here in Thailand, which further demonstrates our deep commitment to highly innovative product developmentunder the concept 'Nissan Intelligent Mobility,' as we continue to show true leadership in the electric vehicle market in Thailand," said Mr. Antoine Barthes, President, Nissan Motor (Thailand) Co., Ltd.
"We are also thrilled to show our new Navara, a smart, tough pickup. We will continue to follow our core values in putting our customers at the heart of everything we do, reflected in the fact that we deliver 'Innovation that Excites,' through the most innovative products, from the Navara to our e-POWER technology to the exciting new LEAF," Barthes said.
Nissan LEAF – from global market leader to a pioneer in the Thai electric vehicle market
Nissan is showing the new Nissan LEAF, the world's best-selling electric vehicle with more than 291,000 units sold, at the show. In September the company announced it will be bringing the vehicle to Thailand.
The new electric powertrain delivers an exhilarating, linear driving performance with a power output of 110 kW, 38% more than the previous generation of Nissan LEAF. Torque has been increased 26% to 320 Nm, resulting in improved acceleration.
Even with the additional power output, the new Nissan LEAF's driving range has increased. The car's new 40kWh Lithium-ion battery pack delivers an estimated range of 400 km[1], which should satisfy the daily driving of our customers.
This brand-new product also comes with the latest e-Pedal technology, which allows drivers to start, accelerate, decelerate, stop, and hold the car by using the accelerator pedal. It also features ProPILOT, a single-lane autonomous driving technology, and ProPILOT Park that automatically controls the vehicle and guides it into parking spots. Providing, even more, comfort and safety for drivers.
New e-POWER Technology
Nissan's smart e-POWER technology, a further innovation under 'Nissan Intelligent Mobility,' will be on display at the booth. e-POWER is an adaptation of electric vehicle technology perfected in the Nissan LEAF. This technology features a small gasoline engine that helps recharge the vehicle's high-output battery when necessary, eliminating the need for an external battery recharger.. Nissan's e-POWER EV-based drivetrain delivers massive torque almost instantly andconstantly, which enhances drive response and results in smooth acceleration. This means exceptional driving enjoyment while delivering much lower fuel consumption when compared to conventional hybrid vehicles.
