KSK Insurance (Thailand) Co Ltd is today launching a road safety campaign in cooperation with the Royal Thai Highway Police.
The campaign is part of KSK Insurance’s corporate social responsibilities programme and is based on increasing public awareness of safety precautions at work, home and leisure.
The road safety campaign will feature window stickers bearing a total of 10 slogans encouraging drivers to drive slowly and carefully, and for drivers and passengers to wear their seat belts etc.
“Motor insurance is at the heart of our business, and so too is corporate and social responsibility,” says Wong Kim Teck, Managing Director, KSK Group Insurance Division KSK Group Berhad, Malaysia. “Our safety campaign will use our experience as an insurer to generate greater safety awareness, and we feel the start of 2013 is the ideal time to begin.”
KSK’s campaign is being conducted in cooperation with the Highway Police, whose badge is displayed prominently on each sticker and who will help distribute the stickers to car drivers and owners nationwide.
KSK has also received the full cooperation of the Abbot of Baan Rai Temple, who is allowing the company to use Luan Por Koon’s signature on the stickers, a move that many drivers will consider to be particularly auspicious.
The latter stages of the campaign will include a social media element, with participants encouraged to put the stickers on their cars, take the photos and upload to fanpage of KSK Insurance to win prizes.
“We are honoured to be receiving very good support from the Highway Police to jointly initiate the campaign, and to act as our partners,” says Eugene Foong, chief executive officer of KSK Thailand. “We are presenting 4,000 units of stickers to the Highway Police, and these will be distributed to drivers at 41 Highway Police stations nationwide.
“Another consignment of stickers will be allocated to our partners nationwide who will help distribute them to their clients. We are also receiving very good support from Wizard who will help distribute the stickers at Wizard Car Wash shops nationwide.”
"Further, as this campaign involves the company as a whole, the stickers will be given to all of our employees at the internal launch activity.”
Mr. Foong says the intention is to contribute to society through the company’s own experience.
“We want to do something that contributes back to the society from which we derive our business,” he says. “Our corporate social responsibility is guided by what we believe, which is doing well by doing good.”
