ROYAL ORCHID SHERATON HOTEL & TOWERS CELEBRATES FIRST ANNIVERSARY OF SOCIAL HOUR AND GLOBAL ROLL-OUT OF SHERATON SOCIAL HOUR WITH 24 HOUR ‘TOAST AROUND THE WORLD’ Global Premium Wine Program, Sheraton Social Hour, Now featured at more than 400 Hotels around the World Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers in Bangkok recently celebrated the first anniversary of Sheraton Social Hour and the global roll-out of Sheraton Hotels & Resorts’ signature wine program. Developed by today’s premier wine experts and the brand’s global food and beverage team, the Social Hour program offers guests a specially curated menu of premium wines and weekly tasting events. To commemorate the global roll-out, Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers together with 430 hotels around the world including Sheraton Pattaya Resort, Sheraton Hua Hin Resort & Spa and Sheraton Krabi Beach Resort embarked on a 24-hour ‘Toast Around The World’ which was passed virtually from Asia to Europe to the Americas. The event started in Asia with Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel & Towers and Sheraton Shanghai Pudong Hotel to Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers in Bangkok and Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort followed by the Sheraton Bangalore Hotel at Brigade Gateway, until it reached Sheraton New York Times Square and Sheraton Waikiki for the conclusion of the day-long global celebration. In Thailand, Sheraton Social Hour’s first anniversary at Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers in Bangkok was attended by over 100 in-house guests and local residents of the city as well as senior management of Starwood Hotels & Resorts. The event showcased Treasury Wine Estate and Chateau Ste Michelle wines, which was complemented by a selection of world-renowned cheeses and live entertainment in the hotel’s Lobby Lounge. Sheraton Pattaya Resort celebrated the global roll-out of Social Hour at the Latitude Lounge in the company of resort guests and members of the community while at the Sheraton Krabi Beach Resort, the Duo Band; Charlie and Son provided the evening’s entertainment in the Sheraton Club Lounge as guests raised a glass to mark the occasion. Meanwhile at the Sheraton Hua Hin Resort & Spa, invited guests participated in a tasting that compared 90-plus rated Chilean wines; ‘Concha Y Toro’and ‘Casillero Del Diablo’ at the Sundara Terrace of the Lobby Lounge while indulging in perfectly paired canap?s and refreshments to the soothing sounds of the resort’s live band in the evening. Prizes for those who competed in the ‘Toast Around The World’ Trivia ranged from dining vouchers to spa experiences at the newly opened Sheraton signature Shine spa.
