The General Committee of Phuket King's Cup Regatta recently hosted a dinner to elebrate its legendary 30th Anniversary at Maduzi Hotel. The event was joined by past presidents and current committee members, media partners and sponsors who came together to honor the landmark anniversary event in the spirit of "A Heritage of Passion."
Kevin Whitcraft, President of the Phuket King's Cup Regatta Organizing Committee, said, "From the small regatta we began with back in '87 to becoming the best regional regatta, the 30th Anniversary marks a magnificent milestone for the history of this classic regatta. Thank you to all involved, including sailors, the organizing committee, our partners and repeat sponsors who continue to support us, our esteemed media partners and the Royal Thai Navy, who have helped to contribute, organize and deliver this event since the beginning."
The regatta, held every year to celebrate the birthday of the King, attracts sailors, support teams, sponsors and VIP attendees from all over the world for five days of racing amid the beautiful islands of the Andaman Sea.
