SEAMICO Invests 218 Million Baht in Absolute Yoga

          Seamico Securities PLC. signed an investment agreement worth 218 million Baht to purchase a 30% equity stake in Absolute Yoga Co., Ltd., a health and wellness business under the "Absolute You" brand. 
          "Seamico is looking to invest in quality companies that will create long term value to the Company and its shareholders," said Chaipatr Srivisarvacha, Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Seamico. "Our private equity investment activity will consider a wide range of potential companies, but our investment philosophy centers around exceptional businesses with high potential for value creation," he continued.
          This is Seamico's second investment of the year, following close on the heels of the Company's investment of 14 million Baht to obtain a 46% share in Scentimental Co., Ltd., a company that develops and distributes perfume products including celebrity brands. 
          "We look carefully at the types of companies and the particular sectors that show growth potential. Our first two investments have been in companies related to health and beauty, a segment that has consistent growth," Srivisarvacha stated. "We are presently evaluating several other investments in companies in the consumer lifestyle segment, and hope to announce additional investments in the near future."

The Company's core businesses include yoga and pilates studios, with 9 branches in Bangkok and 1 in Phuket. The company also own and operates Absolute Sanctuary Resort on Samui island. The company recently launched Absolute Fit Food, a gourmet health-food delivery service. In 2017 the company expects to open an additional three branches in Thailand and is looking for opportunities to expand overseas. 
          Scentimental Co., Ltd., has obtained exclusive licenses for the development, marketing and distribution of celebrity perfumes, including domestic and international brands. The company works in close collaboration with a leading French perfumery and well-known local celebrities, including Aum Patchrapa Chaichua, Chompoo Araya A. Hargate, Ploy Chermarn, Mario Maurer, and others to create customized blended scents that capture their characters and personalities. The company plans to expand its product lines to include skincare and cosmetics products while also actively pursuing expansion to other countries.
