          SCG represented by Mr Vichai Rairat, Sustainable Development Director for Living Solution and Housing Products Business of SCG Cement-Building Materials Company Limited, and Assoc. Prof. Dr Singh Intrachooto, Chief Advisor to the Research & Innovation for Sustainability Center (RISC) of Magnolia Quality Development Corporation Limited (MQDC), have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to cooperate in research and development (R&D) for creating value from unused construction material, in accordance with the principle of a circular economy. The two organizations will coordinate and integrate academic knowledge through R&D to efficiently reuse material. The collaboration aims to address excess and low-value resources resulting from the expansion of the construction industry and the issue of waste material management from building, considered a huge challenge in the world today. This collaboration will make the construction industry more sustainable and bring progress toward a circular economy. The agreement is therefore an important partnership by leading organizations in building materials and real estate for sustainable and environment-friendly residential development. 
          Mr Vichai Rairat, Sustainable Development Director for Living Solution and Housing Products Business of SCG Cement-Building Materials, who signed for SCG, said: "From the expansion of the construction industry, which made the large amount of materials left from the construction, SCG realizes these issue, so commits to handle these unused materials returning to value according to the guidelines of SCG Circular Way that corresponds to the conceptual of circular economy. Therefore, SCG and The Centre for research and innovation for sustainability (RISC) by Magnolia quality Development Corporation Limited (MQDC), which conducts business according to the principles of sustainable development have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to research and develop service and product solutions from unused construction materials for sustainable living and meet the needs of the customer." 
          Assoc. Prof. Dr Singh Intrachooto, Chief Advisor to RISC and Professor of Architecture at Kasetsart University, who signed the MoU for RISC and MQDC, said: "On behalf of the team of academics and researchers, we are very pleased to contribute to developing upcycled material for environment-friendly construction and would like to thank SCG for recognizing the importance of this collaboration, which will benefit the city environment and public well-being in the future."
