UOB Thailand won the Best Wholesale/Transaction Bank for Sustainable Finance - Thailand at The Digital Banker - Global Sustainable Finance Awards 2024 and the Thailand International Green Finance initiative of the Year award at Asian Banking & Finance (ABF) Wholesale Banking Awards 2024

These accolades reflect UOB Thailand's leadership and strategic foresight in developing comprehensive sustainable finance frameworks that enable Thai businesses to transition towards sustainable practices. Aligned with global standards and verified by independent assessments, UOB Thailand's sustainable finance frameworks set clear criteria for eligible projects, spanning green and sustainability-linked loans, trade finance, and other financial solutions.

The Best Wholesale/Transaction Bank for Sustainable Finance - Thailand award presented at The Digital Banker - Global Sustainable Finance Awards 2024 acknowledged the Bank's efforts in improving access to sustainable funding sources for wholesale banking clients. The Digital Banker praised UOB Thailand's contribution to the country's Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) and Net Zero objectives, proactively engaging with clients to transform their business models and practices while offering financial solutions to aid them in this transition.

UOB Thailand also received the Thailand International Green Financing Bank of the Year award at the ABF Wholesale Banking Awards 2024. This award recognises UOB Thailand's continuous development of its suite of sustainable finance frameworks and solutions to help businesses in their sustainability transition. ABF highlighted UOB Thailand's incorporation of sustainability into its business strategy and expansion its sustainable finance frameworks to empower clients across diverse sectors. In 2023, UOB has completed 79 new sustainable finance deals under its five sustainable finance frameworks, marking significant sustainable growth.
