Mr. Montri Rawanchaikul (center), Chief Executive Officer of PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP), presented a donation of 35 million baht to Dr. Pailin Chuchottaworn (3rd from right), Chairman of the Governing Board of Kamnoetvidya Science Academy (KVIS), to support the construction of the academy's planetarium and observatory, which will serve as learning and research facilities in astronomy, physics, and future technologies. The facilities will also provide students with hands-on learning opportunities to better understand scientific principles, enhancing the scientific and technological capabilities of youth and human resources of the country.
PTTEP and PTT Group place strong emphasis on the continuous promotion of education in science and technology. In 2015, the group established Vidyasirimedhi Institute of Science and Technology (VISTEC), an advanced research institute focused on talent development and innovation, along with KVIS, an upper secondary school for students with outstanding potential in mathematics and science. Previously, PTTEP signed a memorandum of understanding to provide continued support to both institutions during 2022-2031, with an average annual budget of 100 million baht. This reflects a strong commitment to supporting education and research, which serves as an important foundation for the country's future development.
