Mr. Peerapong Chailapo (3rd from right), Acting Executive Vice President, Engineering, Development, and Maintenance Group of PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited or PTTEP, and Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat (4th from left), President of Chulalongkorn University, jointly signed the 7th Amendment to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote human resources development and research in geosciences, engineering, science and technology. The collaboration aims to support petroleum exploration and production operations while enhancing national energy security. The signing ceremony was held at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok.
PTTEP has continuously collaborated academically with Chulalongkorn University since 2004. This renewed MoU extends the partnership for another five years, covering scholarship support, research and development, specialized training programs, and the exchange of knowledge and technology. Selected co-research and development projects have been further developed into practical applications to enhance efficiency in petroleum exploration and production operations, as well as related businesses, contributing to the sustainable development of Thailand's energy sector.
