UOB Thailand has partnered with PEAK, a leading online accounting platform for small businesses, to offer collateral-free loans of up to THB 1 million under its SMEs ScaleUp campaign by leveraging verified digital accounting data in the credit assessment process.
Through this collaboration, SMEs that maintain bookkeeping records on PEAK will be able to apply for financing using their digital accounting data. This allows UOB to assess business performance and cash flow directly from the platform, reducing documentation requirements and removing the need for traditional financial documents of fixed-asset collateral.
This initiative is designed to support SMEs that demonstrate consistent financial discipline but may face constraints in accessing bank loans due to limited collateral. Businesses must have used PEAK's platform for at least six months and have been in operation for a minimum of three years to qualify.
Mrs Sayumrat Maranate, Head of SME Banking, UOB Thailand, said the partnership supports the Bank's strategy to strengthen its SME portfolio through digital innovation. "By incorporating verified accounting data into our credit evaluation process, we can access businesses based on actual performance and transaction history. This improves efficiency in processing and expands financing access for SMEs that demonstrates financial discipline."
Mr Peem Petchged, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of PEAK, said, "Our platform helps SMEs maintain structured and up-to-date financial records. Through this collaboration, those records can also serve as verified data for credit assessment. This strengthens the practical value of disciplined bookkeeping and supports business owners in preparing for financing opportunities."
Under the SMEs ScaleUp campaign, businesses that have used PEAK's online accounting platform for at least six months and have been in operation for a minimum of three years are eligible to apply for a special loan up to THB 1 million at preferential interest rate from UOB and exclusive privileges from PEAK. Application can be submitted directly through the PEAK platform.
