UOB Thailand is offering complimentary tram services to the public during the annual Vegetarian Festival in Yaowarat. The service will operate daily until 29 October 2025, running from 9:00am to 4:30pm along two designated routes: Hua Lamphong and Ratchawong. These routes pass through key roads including Yaowarat Road, Ratchawong Road, Charoen Krung Road, Song Wat Road, Thai-Chinese Friendship Road, and Traimit Road, providing convenient access for visitors and festival participants.
The Yaowarat Vegetarian Festival takes place at the ceremonial arch on Yaowarat Road and features traditional rituals honouring the Buddha and Bodhisattvas, vegetarian food offerings, and worship at 22 local shrines. The event serves to preserve cultural heritage and uphold long-standing traditions.
UOB Thailand has proudly supported the tram service for the Yaowarat Vegetarian Festival every year since 2011, reinforcing its commitment to community engagement and cultural preservation.
