In support of Thailand's national strategy to achieve Carbon Neutrality by 2050 and Net Zero Greenhouse Gas Emissions by 2050, J&T Express Thailand has officially launched its new Electric Vehicle (EV) Bike. The model applies clean-energy technology to last-mile delivery operations to enhance delivery efficiency while accelerating the logistics industry's transition toward a low-carbon and sustainable future.
As one of the company's key initiatives under its global green logistics strategy, the new EV Bike integrates clean-energy technology with intelligent operating systems, reflecting J&T's strong commitment to ESG principles. The model brings together four core elements of green transportation efficiency—route optimization, energy-saving training, structural upgrades, and technological enhancement—into one comprehensive solution. It has been specifically designed and optimized for Thailand's delivery environment, featuring:
- Long-lasting operational performance: Equipped with a high-capacity lithium battery that supports all-day delivery operations, reduces charging frequency, and maintains timely performance.
- Adaptability to complex road conditions: A high-torque motor enables quick acceleration and braking responsiveness, ensuring stable and agile movement even in Bangkok's heavy traffic or on inclined routes.
- Low-carbon operation: Reduced emissions and zero noise pollution, supporting sustainable urban logistics development.
The introduction of this new EV model marks a significant expansion of J&T Express's green logistics ecosystem across Southeast Asia. In 2024, the company deployed over 799,000 reusable transit bags across its sorting centers nationwide—an 80.7% increase from the previous year—with more than 27.62 million cycles of reuse. The addition of the EV Bike further reinforces a comprehensive, environmentally friendly logistics model that combines green packaging with clean-energy transportation.
As a leading logistics provider with strong and steady growth in Thailand, J&T Express will continue to prioritize innovation and drive the integration of clean-energy solutions, intelligent systems, and advanced logistics operations. The company remains committed to enhancing national logistics capabilities, supporting sustainable development, and contributing to the advancement of a greener, smarter regional logistics ecosystem.
