HaadThip Public Company Limited (HTC) announced its operating results for the first quarter of 2026, reporting total sales revenue of THB 2.35 billion, representing an increase of 11.9% compared to the same period last year. The company achieved this growth despite the impact of severe flooding in late 2025 and the emerging Middle East crisis toward the end of the first quarter. The CEO expressed confidence that the company can continue to grow, provided the conflict in the Middle East does not escalate further, while a dedicated task force has been established to closely monitor rising costs of energy and raw material risks.
HaadThip Public Company Limited, the manufacturer and distributor of beverages under the Coca-Cola system across 14 provinces in Southern Thailand, reported Q1 2026 sales revenue of THB 2.35 billion, up 11.9% year-on-year. Gross profit margin stood at 42.1%, remaining stable compared to the same period last year, while net profit for the quarter reached THB 198.3 million, an increase of 9% from Q1 2025. Net profit margin was 8.4%, down slightly by 0.3 percentage points from the previous year.
These results signal an economic recovery in Southern Thailand following the severe flooding crisis at the end of 2025, while the region continues to face volatility stemming from tensions in the Middle East. According to the Bank of Thailand, the Southern Thai economy expanded modestly by approximately 1.6% in Q1 compared to the previous quarter, supported by the easing flood situation and accelerated consumer spending toward the end of the quarter ahead of anticipated price increases. In the agricultural sector, farmers saw improved incomes from off-season durian harvests alongside stronger rubber and palm oil prices. Meanwhile, data from Nielsen Thailand showed that the non-alcoholic ready-to-drink (NARTD) beverage market in Southern Thailand grew by 4.8% in Q1 compared to the same period last year. Growth was led by bottled water, which expanded by 9.8%, and energy drinks, up 7.7%, while ready-to-drink juice and sparkling beverages grew by 6.2% and 1.1%, respectively.
Major General Patchara Rattakul, Chief Executive Officer, shared his perspective that, "We have seen early signs of recovery in the Southern economy since the beginning of the year following the severe floods late last year. The relatively hot weather early in the year also helped drive a strong recovery in our sales. However, the conflict in the Middle East emerged before tourism could fully rebound as expected, impacting the momentum of international arrivals. Looking ahead to the second quarter, we believe the beverage market can continue to grow, provided oil prices and raw material costs do not escalate further. We have established a dedicated task force to closely monitor and manage these risks to minimize potential impacts as much as possible. On the product front, our no-sugar portfolio continued to perform well, returning to growth of 16.1% this quarter, while our new energy drink product, "Monster Energy", has received a positive response from consumers."
According to Nielsen Thailand data as of the end of Q1 2026, HaadThip Public Company Limited remained the market leader in the non-alcoholic ready-to-drink beverage category across Southern Thailand, with a market value share of 23.1%. In the sparkling beverage segment, the company continued to maintain a leading market share, at 77.3%.
