ROCHESTER, NY--Nortel (Northern Telecom) has contracted with Fist
Data Corporation's Teleservices Business Unit to provide Nortel operator
services technology and training valued in excess of $US 23 million. The
contract calls two DMS-200 TOPS Switching systems, 400 Integrated Work
Station (IWS) operator positions, Automated Directory Assistance Service
(ADAS), and Computer-Based Training for Teleservices operators.
One of the Nortel DMS-200 switches will be deployed at a First Data
Facility in Omaha, Nebraska: the other switch and 285 IWS operator
terminals will be deployed at First Data's newest voice operations center
in Daytona Beach, Florida. The remaining terminals are slated for service
at Teleservices' center in Corpus Christi, Texas.
