Siemens Communications today unveils a new star
in the mobile phone arena: the SL65.
The Siemens SL65 is an exclusive designed phone; unique in every single detail. As the successor of the SL55, it stands in a class of its own – a design jewel. The SL65 is a fusion of high caliber technology and design for the cultivated user.
Available exclusively in ivory and ebony with an enamel band around the front and the back to create a defined shape, the SL65 is designed for the passion and those not afraid to be admired for it. The elegant slider mechanism is innovatively high-tech and unusual in design but is easy to use and has evolved from its successful predecessor, the SL55. Users are able to express themselves fully with the integrated camera and video functionality while getting creative with various photo applications and games. The SL65 emphasizes the sophisticated taste and exceptional individuality of its user by allowing them to personalize the user interface in brilliant colors and sounds from their own collection.
Not only does the SL65 stand out for its design leadership, it also provides quality and state of the art technology. The integrated VGA camera with 5x digital zoom allows users to record and playback films that can be viewed on a high-resolution 65,536 colors TFT display, which then can be sent to their family and friends via MMS or Email. But if the hip SL65 user wanted to capture a moment as a still photo, they can do so with the photo function. The photo function also works at any time of day thanks to the attachable Flash IFL-600, which guarantees an automatic exposure control even under low light conditions. Still images can be sent with text and sound via Email or MMS to friends and acquaintances, while GPRS ensures a fast data connection letting you connect quickly and tri-band allows you to stay in touch from almost anywhere in the world.
Suwannee Singluedej, Vice President, Communication Devices, Siemens Company Limited, revealed “The SL65 combines glamorous design and technology and inspired by life. Life is all about design and style, self expression and individuality, this sleek handset stands out as much more than a phone – it is a statement in style for our fashionable and techno-savvy users.”
New applications, 3D games and content can be downloaded and exchanged by using Wireless Java. It goes without saying that the new SL65 has a wide range of logos, backgrounds, and polyphonic ring tones. Also, graphical themes have been specially developed to personalize the phone. A full suite of business features also allow users to stay on top of appointments and to synchronize their organizer quickly and easily.
Siemens’ new design phone is offered with a wide range of Siemens Original Accessories to allow maximum convenience. Besides the attachable Flash, a range of headsets including the Headset Purestyle and convenient car solutions like the Car Kit Comfort, Car Kit Comfort Upgrade, or the innovative plug & play Car Kit Easy with integrated mobile holder are offered. There is also a choice of chargers and data solutions like the SyncStation or Data Cable USB as well as a practical Textile Case.
“In line with our aggressive marketing policy, we have joined a strategic partner to strengthen our business. We have appointed TWZ Corporation Company Limited, a leader in the mobile phone and telecommunications equipment sales business, as our distributor to sell the Siemens SL65. Besides the SL65 we have introduced today, we plan to launch another three or four new models by the end of this year through the beginning of next year, such as the CFX65, the CX70, the SK65 and the SF65. These new models will meet the needs of different kinds of customer,” added Suwanee.
The mobile phone will be available in Thai market from November 2004 onwards priced at 16,900 baht.
