-- Douglas Sabella brings additional executive management expertise in next generation telecommunication solutions -- a leading global provider of next-generation communication networks, announced that it has appointed Douglas A. Sabella as its President and Chief Executive Officer. As an experienced leader in telecommunications and software organizations, Mr. Sabella is poised to continue Veraz's leadership in providing advanced IP solutions for next generation services. Mr. Sabella brings an extensive executive and operations management background in the telecommunications and software industries to Veraz that spans over 20 years. This experience includes both public and private enterprises ranging from $10 million to in excess of $2 billion in revenue. At Lucent Mr. Sabella was the Vice President responsible for the OSS and Intelligent Networking businesses and later was named President of the Octel Messaging Division. After 15 years with Lucent, Doug was named President of Tumbleweed Communications and subsequently was COO at Terayon Communications, both of which are public companies.
