Provides competitive edge by offering VoIP and new services immediately versus months or years Veraz Networks today announced that Teletek, a greenfield telecommunications service provider based in Turkey, has selected Veraz's carrier-grade, VoIP solution including its softswitch platform, ControlSwitch, and the I-Gate 4000 media gateway. By deploying this solution for its greenfield network, Teletek will be able to capture additional revenue by adding new IP services immediately upon installation rather than over months or years. Minimizing time to market in a recently deregulated market such as Turkey provides a critical advantage. Veraz's open and flexible VoIP solution allows Teletek to respond to its customer needs, deploy new enhanced services, retain and attract subscribers while expanding its portfolio of services to include hosted voice applications. By selecting the Veraz programmable ControlSwitch, which includes an advanced Service Framework combining the industry's leading policy engine in terms of on-the-fly customization, parameter choice, and performance with programmable service logic, Teletek can quickly offer additional IP services. These services can be easily deployed due to the flexibility and stability of the Veraz open softswitch platform and its programmable architecture. Veraz's end-to-end solution provides the routing flexibility and multi-protocol support necessary for international networks, including both country SS7 variants as well as global IP peering using both H.323 and SIP. The Veraz ControlSwitch works behind the scenes to centrally manage all activities seamlessly from one location to cover a multi-city or multi-country IP network. The solution also provides a cost-savings for Teletek because it can be deployed and maintained with limited resources and can scale easily to introduce competitively priced services. "We know that to win new subscribers in a competitive landscape we must offer differentiating IP services. Veraz's solution will not only help us introduce new services but will also allow us to deliver these services much more rapidly - in weeks rather than months or years," said Mr. Zeki Ziya Sozen, Executive Board Member and President at Teletek. "We are very pleased with Veraz's open platform and how easily it integrates with our existing network." "Teletek can attract new subscribers and retain existing customers, by expanding its portfolio of services to include new IP applications," said Amit Chawla, Executive Vice President of Global Marketing for Veraz Networks. "Based on Veraz's VoIP solution, Teletek can quickly and cost-effectively roll out these new services to their subscriber base and rapidly increase their revenue stream."
