About Foundation for the Blind in Thailand Under the Royal Patronage of H.M. the Queen
Miss Genevive Caulfield, an American blind woman, founded the first school for the blind in Thailand at a small house that she rented on Korche Road, Saladaeng, Bangkok. The school had been supported by kind people and subsequently they all joined together to establish a foundation which was called the Foundation for the Blind of Thailand. They founded the Foundation in May 10 B.E. 2482 (1939). This was the first foundation for the blind in Thailand.
