Quest Software Launches Foglight to Support Thai IT Investment

Quest Software, which creates and supports smart systems management products, has launched a new product, Foglight, which aims to help in delivering higher ROI on companies' IT investments. Quest Software, which was established in 1987 and has more than 100,000 customers worldwide, is looking to reinforce its position in the Thai market through its distributor Soft IT. Soft IT was established in 2000 and has 38 staff in three business units. Thai-based companies that use Quest include a number of banks, teclo, large manufacturing, and major retailers. Quest offers system management products and services for today's complex environments. Quests solutions aim to support four key areas – application management, Windows and O/S management, database management, and virtualization management. Stanley Liao, Quest Software's Managing Director for South East Asia, said that Foglight is an award-winning product that offers multi-level options for a variety of industries. “Foglight is part of a strong portfolio of products that we can provide in Thailand. He said that the company targets three key segments – banking telecommunications and large manufacturing. Currently our install base includes Kbank, Tisco, SCB, BAY, AIS, CPF and PTT. Mr Sitthikhun said that the product segment was expanding rapidly as companies investing in application management software and partner development. “Over 70 per cent of IT issues stem from the database so its vital for companies with complex IT infrastructures to be aware and anticipate potential problems so as to avoid service downgrades,” added Mr. Sitthikhun.
