LIFE introducing antimicrobial technology to home appliance manufacturers

Hong Kong Productivity Council and the Hong Kong Electrical Appliances Manufacturers Association joined force to organize the workshop on "Application of Innovative Materials for Household Appliances" in Hong Kong with an objective to support home appliances manufacturers in China and Hong Kong to produce more value-added products in terms of innovative materials, design and lean manufacturing principles.

The organizers invited LIFE's Chief Executive, Tom Ellefsen, as the speaker of the workshop on integrated antimicrobial technology. The activity was well attended by practitioners in the electrical appliances industry seeking new technologies for home appliances. Problems caused by microbes in home appliances include food safety/cross contamination, air quality/allergies, potable water safety, mold/stains and odor.
