Global leader in household appliances, Electrolux, has figured prominently in two separate global rankings published recently. The company, which has grown rapidly in Thailand in recent years, was recognised as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies in 2012 by the prestigious Ethisphere Institute. It was also ranked fourth in the home equipment and furnishings category of the 2012 Fortune Magazine “World’s Most Admired Companies” list. The Ethisphere Institute analyses the performance and operations of thousands of companies around the world. Those which achieve the award are recognised for implementing business practices and initiatives that are instrumental to the company’s success, benefit the community and raise the bar for ethical standards within the industry. Commenting on the award Thailand General Manager, SuttiManokitjarunman, said sustainability was a key focus of the Electrolux business strategy. “Being on the World’s Most Ethical Companies List again this year further distinguishes us as an industry leader,” said Mr Sutti. “Our ranking as an admired company on our market segment of the Fortune Magazine annual survey is also evidence of the sound business practices we have followed.
