PwC Thailand (PricewaterhouseCoopers) and the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) on Thursday hosted a joint Press Briefing, entitled ‘Reading Financial Statements for News Reporting’ at the SET Building.
The course was aimed at providing the essential knowledge required to understand a company’s financial health by explaining how companies formulate their financial documents and how business journalists should evaluate them.
Kajornkiet Aroonpirodkul, Assurance Partner of PwC Thailand, together with Assurance Director, Anchalee Chavalitjareetham, shared their insights on how to read financial statements and issues relating to mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
The half-day course was joined by about 20 keen reporters, from media including Post Today, Naewna, Thai PBS and Tanhoon among others. Bordin Unakul, the SET’s Executive Vice-President and Head of its Corporate Services Division, presided over the course to greet the reporters and give his opening remarks.
