Hotels are presented the award based on their excellence in service, facilities and outstanding traveller reviews on the site. The resorts which received the honour are Putahracsa - Hua Hin, Nishaville - Prachuap Khiri Khan, Twin Lotus – Koh Lanta, Saree Samui - Mae Nam Beach, The Sunset Beach Resort & Spa Taling Ngam, The Treasure – Koh Madsum, Cham’s House – Koh Kood, Sukhothai Heritage Resort, De Naga Hotel Chiang Mai, The Sevenseas Resort – Koh Kradan and Paradise Beach Resort - Samui.
The HolidayCheck Award was presented to the 389 most popular hotels worldwide, based on three criteria including the number of reviews, the recommendation rating, and the number of “suns” awarded to the resort in several categories. The winners are selected from over 980,000 reviews received in 2014 with an overall rating of 5 or higher out of 6.
