Robert Bosch Limited, Thailand today announced plans for growth in the automotive aftermarket sector. Specifically, Bosch will expand its 10 automotive product lines with new products, with a focus on developing e-commerce platforms and strengthening the network of Bosch Car Service workshops.
Mr. Kuldhaj Bunbongkarn, General Manager of Bosch Automotive Aftermarket Thailand and Laos said, "As long as there are vehicles on the road, it is essential that drivers and vehicle owners pay attention to what goes on under the hood of their cars for safe mobility. This is where Bosch comes in: with quality car parts, and the advanced diagnostic equipment to perform full checks at reliable workshops. At Bosch, we are committed to make a difference with our technology that is "Invented for life".
Today, Bosch produces 10 automotive product lines, including original equipment (OE) and spare parts, for passenger and commercial vehicles in Thailand: batteries, wiper systems, spark plugs, brake systems, filters, gasoline fuel systems, diesel fuel systems, lightings, electricals and other electrical equipment.
          Product updates for 2017
Bosch SN 5W40 Premium X7 Fully Synthetic Engine Oil: This lubricant provides excellent dynamic engine lubrication with advanced technology for real time protection across various driving conditions and temperatures for high performance consistency. Exceeding the latest API SN standard for gasoline engine oil, the SN 5W40 is recommended for modern premium sedans with turbochargers, compressed natural gas and gasoline engines.
Bosch Hightec Silver AMS Battery: This battery is designed to support vehicles with Alternator Management Systems (AMS),which contribute to improved fuel economy and lower carbon dioxide emissions by automatically lowering the load or deactivating the alternator when the battery is fully charged.
Bosch Aerotwin Wiper Blade: In 1999, Bosch invented the world's first 'flat blade' or frameless windshield wiper blade that offers superior windshield cleaning even in the worst of rain and while driving at high speeds. Bosch Aerotwin flat blade wipers are longer lasting in the harsh conditions of Thailand's tropical weather. Installed as original equipment on many leading premium European vehicles, Bosch flat blades are now also available as replacements for a range of Asian vehicles.
Emphasis on e-commerce for efficiency and enhanced consumer experience Bosch intends to make its products available on more online shopping platforms that provide convenience and efficient shopping experience to car owners, in line with Thailand's booming online economy. Drivers in Thailand can purchase Bosch automotive products online on platforms such as Lazada and other upcoming e-commerce platforms in 2017.
A new targeted channel focus To strengthen its distribution network and improve communications with retailers, Bosch also introduced the eXtra B2B customer loyalty program with a mobile application. The move sees Bosch digitalizing its offering to reward and share sales campaigns and promotions with B2B customers.
Mr. Kuldhaj said, "We are committed to strengthening our relationships with business partners, whether they are traditional, modern trade or retailers. We want to excite customers with comprehensive product training and additional marketing activities like eXtra."
Bosch Car Service workshops offer efficient, high quality car services including Bosch electric and electronic replacement parts that were once available only exclusively in car manufacturers' service centers, at reasonable prices. The Bosch Car Service network will grow from the current 31 locations by adding four additional branches nationwide by the end of 2017.
"By implementing our latest marketing strategy to expand our customer base, Bosch is confident to continue to be a leading player in the automotive aftermarket in Thailand," said Mr. Kuldhaj.
