Recently (June 7, 2017), at KBank Siam Pic-Ganesha theater, 7th Floor, Siam Square One, Ms. Kattiya Indaravijaya, 2nd from right, KBank President, and Mr. Thanapong Na Ranong, 2nd from left, Managing Director of Beacon Venture Capital Co., Ltd., took part in a press conference to introduce Beacon Venture Capital Co., Ltd., or Beacon VC. Having an aim to invest in potential Thai and foreign startups, a capital fund of 1 billion Baht has been established with focus on development of financial innovations in support of KBank's strategies. With a venture capital (VC) investment in a Thai startup "FlowAccount", KBank is now the first Thai bank to conduct such investment. The company's goals for 2017 consist of direct investments in 3-5 startups and investments in 2-3 VC funds.
