Beacon VC jointly invests in Series B of WIZ.Al, a Singaporean GenAI talkbot startup, to enhance customer engagement

Beacon Venture Capital (Beacon VC), the corporate venture capital arm of KASIKORNBANK, has jointly invested more than USD10 million in the Series B of WIZ.AI, a Singapore-based AI startup and a leader in applying large language models (LLMs) for enterprises across Southeast Asia. The investment is supported by the SMBC Asia Rising Fund, a co-investment fund of Japan's Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) and SMIC SG Holdings, a subsidiary of SM Investments Corporation, as well as existing investors, including Singtel Innov8, a corporate venture arm of Singtel, and Granite Asia. The move reflects strong confidence towards AI technology in driving the future of the workforce and economy.

The investment amounts to more than USD10 million, supported by the SMBC Asia Rising Fund, a co-investment fund of Japan's Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) and SMIC SG Holdings, a subsidiary of SM Investments Corporation operating as an international investment holding company, as well as existing investors including Singtel Innov8 - the venture capital arm of the Singtel Group - and Granite Asia.

WIZ.AI is a pioneer in implementing GenAI and LLM solutions at the enterprise level in Southeast Asia. It is a leader in voice agent technology for customer communication via omnichannel automation, setting a new standard for intelligent communication with high accuracy, natural-sounding speech, efficiency, and the ability to understand complex local languages and accents, enabling the system to deliver culturally resonant experiences naturally.
