IKEA Thailand is enhancing accessibility for customers to shop either online or in-store, increasing their satisfaction during the new COVID-19 outbreak. Conveniently shop online, the Click & Collect service is now available free of charge and enjoy reduced shipping costs by parcel* at 49 baht from the regular 149-baht fee. For in-store shoppers, IKEA opened a new parking facility at IKEA Bangna, with an additional capacity for more than 2,000 vehicles, with added safety measures including airborne disinfectants sprayed throughout all IKEA stores.
IKEA's special service fees for online shoppers are as follows:
"IKEA has always been focused on providing customer convenience providing inspiration and affordable home decorations. For Thailand, we consider customer opinions to adjust and launch new services that are more pleasant and cost-effective. This includes providing a customer shuttle service to our store, the opening of a new store in Phuket and Bang Yai, IKEA Online, our Click & Collect service, and we recently joined with Mega Bangna to open a new parking facility with direct access to IKEA Bangna, which can support more than 2,000 vehicles. Customers can now come to shop without worrying about finding a parking space," said Leonie Hoskin, Country Retail Manager of IKEA Thailand and Vietnam, adding, "In the current situation with the new outbreak, IKEA is operating our stores as usual.
There are strict safety measures such as wearing a mask, body temperature scans, provision of hand sanitizer, and increasing the cleaning frequency in different areas across the store. All employees are required to check their body temperature twice a day and perform extra store cleaning as well as spraying airborne disinfectants throughout IKEA stores. At the same time, we understand customers who need to adapt and leave home less often to stay safe for work.
We, therefore, accelerated our O2O marketing plans to provide customers with a seamless experience whether they choose to buy products from the store or online. We are now working hard, leveraging all everything we have learned during the Covid-19 pandemic and the renewed interest in life at home to build our business for the future. We believe that the economy is set for a modest recovery in this year ahead."
