3M, the global leader in science and innovation, joined forces with The Rotary Club of Bangkok South to organize the 23rd "Coins on Silom" fundraiser event with the objective of aiding underprivileged children in Thailand to have a better quality of life.
Event sponsor representative of "Coins on Silom", Mrs. Wiyada Srinaganand, Country Leader, 3M Thailand, said "3M has supported this initiative launched by The Rotary Club of Bangkok South continuously since its commencement in 1998. This is a longstanding collaboration between 3M and The Rotary Club of Bangkok South with participation from the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, organization partners and the general public. The purpose of this event is to gather donations for various projects that promote the well-being of underprivileged children across Thailand. At the event, participants made donations by placing symbolic coins on top of the 3M white and red tapes which represented the collective support from Bangkokians to the underprivileged children living in remote areas of Thailand."
This sponsorship is one of the many ways that 3M demonstrates its support to build sustainable communities through social investments to create a more positive future in line with its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) commitments.
3M Thailand is providing financial support to the Rural Doctor Foundation (RDF) to install rooftop solar panels at a remotely located hospital. This helps fulfill 3M's commitment to support a sustainable environment by reducing global warming problems and fostering sustainable development. This donation also helps save funds for further development at the hospital or for purchasing medical supplies. The goal is to elevate quality of life in a sustainable way and to reduce environmental impacts
