Bridgestone Shares Insights on Sustainable Business Growth Driven by Digital Technology at Panel Discussion on ReAcc Platform Official Launch

On this occasion, Bridgestone Tire Manufacturing (Thailand) Co., Ltd., led by Mr. Jate Harijanwong, Plant Manager, joined the panel discussion and shared insights for achieving sustainable business growth. He emphasized, "Currently, the trends of driving sustainability through digital technology are essential for every industry. Being an adopter of digital technology provides a competitive advantage. At BTMT, we have developed a long-term sustainability plan. We have implemented the Energy Visualization digital platform in our truck and bus tire manufacturing process to display energy consumption data, allowing us to analyze energy information and plan improvements effectively. This platform enables users to monitor their usage, participate in energy conservation activities, and compare energy consumption with concrete results. Furthermore, we are advancing sustainability by focusing on clean energy usage in our manufacturing processes, such as installing solar rooftop panels on the roofs ofall factory buildings and exploring other renewable energy sources. Additionally, we are acquiring Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) from certified trading source to support the use of renewable energy and reduce CO2 emissions from electricity consumption. These initiatives also raise awareness among employees, encouraging them to participate in energy conservation, ultimately driving greater resource efficiency for the organization. The platform for exchanging insights with leading private organizations reinforces Bridgestone's strong commitment to promoting sustainable energy usage in Thailand. This also aligns with achieving carbon neutrality goals among Bridgestone's Group Global Companies by 2050."
