The coveted Hairy Crab is treasured in Chinese gastronomy for the sweetness of its meat as well as the creamy golden roe it offers. Exclusively available as they mature and migrate from river to ocean in the autumn, savouring these unique crabs is a rare opportunity.
For just over a month, the unique experience of dining on Hairy Crab is being made available in the opulent Summer Palace.
Begin with an appetiser of crispy prawn toasted with Hairy Crab roe sauce or steamed egg white and tiger prawn with Hairy Crab roe sauce. Variations of the sumptuous sauce enhance braised tofu with scallop, braised asparagus, and braised Dao Ting Udon noodles with seafood.
The highlight of the selection is the braised supreme bird's nest soup with Hairy Crab roe, along with the option to order a steamed whole Hairy Crab.
Composed by two-time Michelin accomplished Executive Chinese Chef Yau Sui Wing, the Hairy Crab menu at Summer Palace brings an array of ways to appreciate the seasonal indulgence. Experience a sought-after shellfish at its peak, expertly prepared at Summer Palace.
Priced from THB 480++ per dish, Hairy Crab menu is available between 25 October 2024 to 30 November 2024 from 11.30 to 14.30 hours for lunch and 18.00 to 22.30 hours for dinner.
