Mr. Thosarit Achriyasart, Associate Design Director at dwp, a leading international architecture and design firm with decades of experience in Thailand and globally, was honoured to speak at Food & Hospitality Thailand (FHT). His presentation titled "Moxy Bangkok Ratchaprasong: Refining Bangkok's Allure" offered a fresh perspective on Bangkok's charm, focusing on sustainable design and creating unique, memorable spaces.
"Sustainable design is now a key trend in design, benefiting both the environment and enhancing residents' quality of life," said Mr. Thosarit. "Particularly in areas with historical significance, like Bangkok's old town, sustainability adds to a location's charm and appeal."
Using dwp's work on Moxy Bangkok Ratchaprasong as an example, Mr. Thosarit explained how the team targeted a new generation of travellers, incorporating a playful and colourful atmosphere with design elements that reflect iconic Bangkok landmarks like Scala and Lido theatres. "Raw materials such as concrete walls and black metals, combined with mural and fabric arts, bring the vibrant essence of Ratchaprasong into the hotel," he noted.
The design seamlessly integrated AI technology, further enriching the hotel's distinctive concept. "Moxy Bangkok Ratchaprasong was one of our most exciting recent projects, offering a fresh perspective on Bangkok that we are truly proud of," he concluded.
