BHIRAJ BURI GROUP's Solar Rooftop and Solar Carport Project at BITEC BURI Reaches Over 50% Completion, Reinforcing Commitment to Sustainability

The project boasts a total installed capacity of 4 megawatts, covering an area of over 40,000 square meters, with an investment exceeding 100 million Baht. It is projected to save up to 21 million Baht annually in electricity costs, accounting for 14% of BITEC BURI's total energy consumption. This is equivalent to reducing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by approximately 3,700 tons per year.

This marks a significant step for Bhiraj Buri Group in sustainable space allocation, supporting diverse business operations, especially the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) industry which hosts national and international events, while reducing carbon emissions - a cornerstone of sustainable growth.

For this project, BHIRAJ BURI GROUP has partnered with Banpu NEXT Solar One Co., Ltd., a leading clean energy solutions provider in the Asia-Pacific region, to design and develop solutions tailored to the business's needs. The primary objectives are to support Carbon Neutral Events, reduce long-term electricity costs, enhance energy security, and demonstrate social and environmental responsibility.

In addition to the solar cell system installation, the project prioritizes sustainable land management. Before construction commenced, over 80 existing mature trees in the parking lot area were carefully relocated to new areas within BITEC BURI. This initiative preserves green spaces, enhances landscaping, creates shade, reduces PM2.5 dust particles, and helps lower ambient temperatures, contributing to a more conducive environment for work and events.

Currently, the project is over 50% complete, encompassing both solar rooftop and solar carport installations, and is expected to be fully operational by the end of 2025. This solar installation marks another success for BHIRAJ BURI GROUP in implementing sustainable development practices in terms of cost management, enhancing competitiveness, and making tangible contributions to environmental conservation.
