Mr.Chaiwat Kovavisarach, Group CEO and President of Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, participated in WEF Aviation Day 2025, a global forum convening industry leaders from aviation, airports, energy providers, policymakers, and financial institutions. Organized by the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Geneva, Switzerland, the event focused on strategies to reduce carbon emissions in aviation and accelerate the development of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).

The discussions reinforced SAF as a critical enabler of net-zero aviation by 2050, emphasizing the urgency of expanding production capacity, investing in sustainable infrastructure, and securing policy support to facilitate a tangible transition. The forum also explored the Airports of Tomorrow initiative, which promotes environmentally responsible airport designs and resilience against climate change.

Mr. Chaiwat reflected on Bangchak Group's experience, shared insights and proposed recommendations as Thailand's first and only producer of 100% neat Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) from used cooking oil through a dedicated unit, certified to international standards. Commercial production and distribution is set to begin in Q2 this year. He reaffirmed Bangchak Group's commitment to working with partners across industries to accelerate SAF adoption, support sustainable aviation, and drive the transition to a low carbon future.
