Rizhao Low-Altitude Economic Development Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Rizhao Transportation Energy Development Group, recently announced the launch of 125 inspection routes spanning a total distance of 1,187.36 kilometers. This achievement marks the preliminary establishment of a low-altitude inspection service network covering key urban areas, representing a substantial advancement in Rizhao's application of low-altitude scenarios and a milestone in the city's efforts to accelerate the development of new quality productive forces and expand its low-altitude economy.
Since its establishment, Rizhao Low-Altitude Economic Development Co., Ltd. has pursued the mission of "accelerating the development of the low-altitude economy and fostering new quality productive forces," with a strong focus on the innovation and expansion of low-altitude scenario services. Guided by the operational philosophy of "one drone, multiple capabilities; one drone, multiple applications," the company has selected 38 sites across the city and deployed nearly 30 automated drone nests. These efforts achieve comprehensive coverage within a 4-kilometer radius of key urban areas, while maintaining the flexibility to adjust service locations based on client needs and flight capacity.
Along these 1,000-plus kilometers of routes, drones are extensively deployed across 12 core application scenarios, including public security patrols, expressway traffic management, transportation inspections, highway engineering supervision, road maintenance and inspections, border and port inspections, and ecological environment governance. Through technological empowerment, the company has pioneered a new model for drone service platforms, achieving efficient integration of low-altitude resources and seamless application across diverse scenarios. This provides convenient and high-quality support for urban governance and public services, among other fields.
The company's core business encompasses investment, construction, and operation of low-altitude transportation infrastructure; low-altitude regulatory services and support; low-altitude application scenario services; and low-altitude industrial project investment. In addition to its notable achievements in scenario services, the company is steadily advancing other business segments, laying a solid foundation for the growth of the low-altitude economy.
In the realm of low-altitude infrastructure development, Rizhao Low-Altitude Economic Development Co., Ltd. is proactively expanding its presence. The company is conducting feasibility studies for a medium-to-large UAV test base in Donggang District; advancing the construction of two general aviation airports in Ju County and Wulian County under a "base first, airport later" model; and leveraging the advantage of its parent group's extensive public transportation hub network to systematically plan eVTOL takeoff and landing sites across the city. These efforts are aimed at building a comprehensive "air-space-ground" integrated transportation network.
