Given these findings, True strongly cautions the public not to be misled by offers on social media to become a "SIM-mule." Both the hirer and the registrant are subject to prosecution under the Royal Decree on Measures for the Prevention and Suppression of Technology Crimes B.E. 2566(2023) as amended by the Royal Decree (No.2) B.E. 2568 (2025).
Legal Penalties: Both hirers and registrants face criminal liability if involved in "SIM-mule" activities.
- Hirers: up to 5 years' imprisonment and a fine of up to THB 500,000.
- Registrants: up to 3 years' imprisonment and a fine of up to THB 300,000.
