COSMEX 2025, ASEAN's Most Comprehensive Event on OEM Service and Manufacturing Technology for Cosmetic, Personal Care, and Dietary Supplement Product, Packaging, Printing, Labelling, Finished Product, and Beauty Device, officially opened its doors today at BITEC, Bangkok, under the concept "Glow to Grow". The event brings together manufacturers, entrepreneurs, and investors from across Thailand and around the world, featuring over 250 exhibitors from 20 countries and over 25,000 beauty industry professionals, reaffirming Thailand's position as ASEAN's leading beauty industry hub.
Mrs. Lucksupha Prabhawat, President of the Thai Cosmetic Cluster, shared insights into the global beauty market "The global beauty market continues to grow steadily as consumers remain focused on self-care and enhancing personal appearance. Current trends emphasize sustainability, eco-friendliness, diversity, inclusivity, and technology integration to elevate product performance merging health and beauty under the belief that true beauty begins with inner wellness.
Thailand's beauty market is expected to sustain a growth trend, having been ranked the No. 1 emerging business of 2025. The industry's expansion is driven by tourism and the transition to an aging-society trend, with the market value projected at around THB 400 billion this year.
There are four key factors related to the beauty industry this year that are worth keeping an eye on, namely
- The rapid rise of Thai brands gaining international recognition and moving toward building international brands.
- The mega-trend in beauty products and services emphasize prevention rather than repair, along with the use of safe organic ingredients.
- Market expansion into new segments such as men's grooming and younger generations.
- Heightened competition, especially from new players and Chinese firms leveraging aggressive online channels.
