The Bank recently secured four prestigious international AI awards, showcasing its capability to create concrete AI innovations that support its goal of becoming a fully AI-First Bank. Mr. Arnon attributes this success to the dedicated Digital and AI team, who are committed to using AI and Data Science to continuously improve financial services and customer experience. The four major Asian-level awards are:

  • Best AI in Financial Service from the Asian Technology Excellence Awards 2025, organized by The Asian Business Review. This award recognizes the AI Asset Allocation (AAA) project, an AI tool that effectively assists the Bank's Relationship Managers (RMs) in recommending investment portfolios tailored to each customer. It references CIO Market Outlook data, AI signals, and customer insights, using a quantitative model to balance risk and return while better detecting asset concentration risk than the previous system. Test results show that AAA can recommend funds that yield top 5 performance compared to other mixed funds.
  • Best AI in Banking from the Asian Technology Excellence Awards 2025, organized by The Asian Business Review. This is for the FX Market Watcher project, an AI system that revolutionizes how the Corporate Sales team works, enabling them to find foreign exchange trading opportunities faster. The system analyzes over 200 daily market and customer insight variables to generate a "who-to-call list" before the market opens, reducing information search time from 10 minutes to less than 1 minute and increasing the call-to-trade conversion rate by 22.5%.
  • AI and Machine Learning Initiative of the Year 2025 from Asian Banking & Finance: For using AI in personal loan approvals, increasing risk assessment accuracy and speeding up efficient, personalized credit granting.
  • Most Innovative Customer-Centric Banking Brand - Thailand 2025 from Global Brands: For the AI Advisory Chatbot (on SCB Connect) which naturally answers mutual fund questions, and the My Alert service, which provides hyper-personalized investment recommendations and timely market-driven alerts.
