The event was honored by Mr. Pavich Kesavawong Deputy Director General Department of Climate Change and Environment (center), who gave a special lecture on the "New World Rules in the Era of Global Warming - Thailand's Climate Change Goals and Actions." He highlighted the growing severity of extreme climate change, which is projected to be one of the top global risks in 2025 and the number one risk by 2035, adding that these are the risks business leaders must start preparing for today.

The Green Transition Academy Season 1 welcomed 40 business leaders from a wide range of industries, including energy, services, hospitality, agriculture, and various manufacturing sectors such as automotive, electronics, metals, glass, food, chemicals, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, printing, packaging, and machinery. The 9-week program focuses on developing in-depth knowledge via lectures from experts, hands-on learning activities, and domestic and international field visits. Participants will also have the opportunity to receive strategic advice from sustainability experts. This aligns with the Bank's commitment to being a "trusted partner and reliable close friend," supporting the business sector to prepare and transition effectively into the era of a green and low-carbon economy.
